CFOs AND TREASURERS OF THE WORLD'S 2000 LARGEST ORGANISATIONS

The individuals represented by the survey were the most senior people within their organisation responsible for finance, treasury or international finance. Their precise job titles varied as shown in the chart

They were responsible for a wide range of financial areas, including Treasury (64%), Raising Capital (56%), Relationships with International Banks (56%) and Project/Structured Finance 43%.

 

They have an ongoing need to raise capital, with the latest survey showing an increase in the range of means they are likely to consider using. 38% had raised more than US$1 billion in the next 12 months, up from 32% in 2006.

Whilst domestic bonds/commercial paper remains the most likely means they will consider using to raise capital, the proportion who will consider syndicated loans has increased (making it a close second overall). There have also been increases in the proportion considering other loans, sales of assets and convertibles/exhangables.

 

In order to raise capital and meet the other financial areas they are responsible for these organisations work with a wide range of banks, 51% maintaining a relationship with 10 or more banks for international business.
